What is Infusion?
An Infusion is an elective IV which contains varying amounts of saline (from 100 to 1000ML) depending on your hydration needs. Micronutrients are selected in consult with our infusion specialist based on your wellness needs and goals. These micronutrients are then added to the saline and, via an IV catheter, your body is both hydrated and enriched.
Why is infusion good for you?
Chronic dehydration is rampant. Most of us do not drink enough water to keep our bodies functioning optimally. Symptoms of dehydration can include headaches/migraines, poor memory, constipation, lethargy, poor cognitive performance, ear ringing, the list goes on. Combine this with a general lack of nutrition in much of the food that we eat, the inadequacy of our digestive system at absorbing the supplements that we take orally, and you have a recipe for poorly supported health.
Infusion, at a minimum, will provide direct hydration via the introduction of saline into the bloodstream. Clients report a myraid of benefits from hydration alone. Combine this with micronutirients which, via IV delivery, are more readily absorbed into the body and you can, depending on the goals of your infusion, support your bodies ability to perform and recover from most of life’s daily challenges. We have an infusion menu designed to meet each and every one of your health and wellness goals. Our favorite? The Myers Cocktail which, with it’s blend of vitamins and amino acids, will make you feel alert, aware, and ready for any challenge without the crash of caffeine!
Why is the procedure safe?
IVs are minimally invasive, requiring only a small pinprick in the arm. They are done milliions of times a day in hospital settings, but if you want an IV to “feel better” going to your doctor or a hospital is generally not an option. Our Infusion Nurse, Dawn Trudeau, RN, works with our Medical Director, Jeffrey Gold, MD to curate and maintain our IV menu as well as create custom infusions based your specific health needs. They are experienced and proven.
