Healthy eating is something I have always been interested in. One of the newer diets that may be beneficial to you is the Anti- Inflammatory diet. This is a diet composed of salmon, mackerel, tuna, yogurt, eggs, olive oil, tomatoes, leafy vegetables (kale or spinach), nuts like (almonds and walnuts) and fruits (blueberries, strawberries. All of these foods help decrease inflammation in the body and make you feel better and more energetic throughout your day. These foods can help promote a healthy GI tract and boost your immune system. Which are two key elements to staying healthy. Inflammation is the way your body can protect itself from infections, illnesses, and or injury. During this inflammatory response phase our body increases its counts of white blood cells and other substances called cytokines that reduce inflammation. Participating in this diet will not only make you feel good, but it can make you lose weight by burning fat faster. Eating this diet would be a great idea because it can supplement your body’s ability to fight off inflammation.
